Frequently asked questions
How do I write text backwards?
Type it in the box – the “Reverse text” result shows every character in reverse order, so “Hello” becomes “olleH”. Copy it with one click.
Does it break emoji or accented letters?
No. The tool reverses whole characters as you see them (grapheme clusters), so emoji with skin tones, flags and letters with accents like é stay intact instead of turning into broken symbols.
How does upside-down text work?
Each letter is swapped for a Unicode character that looks like it flipped over – a becomes ɐ, e becomes ǝ – and the text is reversed, so it reads correctly if you turn your screen upside down. It works anywhere that supports Unicode, such as WhatsApp and Instagram.
What’s the difference between reversing words and reversing each word?
Reverse word order keeps each word spelled normally but puts them in reverse order: “one two three” becomes “three two one”. Reverse each word keeps the order but spells each word backwards: “eno owt eerht”.
What does “keep punctuation in place” do?
When reversing word order, the full stop or question mark stays at the end of the sentence and the first word is capitalised, so “Hello there, friend!” becomes “Friend there, hello!”.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
