  1. Choose what the QR code doesPick a type – website, Wi-Fi, UPI payment, WhatsApp chat, contact card, event and more – and fill in the details.
  2. Make it yoursChange the colours, dot and corner style, add your logo and a caption like “Scan me”. The preview updates instantly and warns you if it might not scan.
  3. Download and testDownload a PNG for print and chat or an SVG for designers, then scan it with your phone before you print hundreds.

Tips for QR codes that always scan

  • Dark on light. Keep the dots darker than the background with strong contrast.
  • Leave a border. A quiet zone of about 4 modules around the code helps cameras find it.
  • Shorter is better. Short links make simpler codes that scan faster and from further away.
  • Test before printing. Scan with both an iPhone and an Android phone.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. These are static QR codes – the content is stored in the pattern itself, so they work forever with no account, subscription or scan limits. If you encode a website link, the code works as long as that website does.

How do I make a UPI QR code for payments?

Choose UPI, enter your UPI ID (like yourname@okbank) and your name. Add an amount if you want a fixed payment, or leave it blank so the payer types it. It works with Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and every UPI app. Always test with a small payment first.

How do I share my Wi-Fi with a QR code?

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password and pick the security type (usually WPA/WPA2). Guests scan it with their phone camera and join without typing the password.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Open Design, add your logo and keep error correction on Auto – it switches to the highest level (H), which lets the code still scan with the centre covered. Keep the logo at 20–25% of the width and check the scan test.

PNG or SVG – which should I download?

PNG works everywhere – chats, documents and printing at the chosen size. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, ideal for designers, banners and signs.

What size should I print a QR code?

At least 2 × 2 cm for close scanning, and roughly one-tenth of the scanning distance for posters – a code read from 2 metres should be about 20 cm wide. Leave a white border (quiet zone) around it.

Why won’t my QR code scan?

Usually low contrast, light dots on a dark background, a logo that’s too big or too little white border. The preview warns about these, and in supported browsers a scan check reads the code back to confirm it works.

Is my data stored or tracked?

No. The QR code is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent to a server or logged, so scans aren’t tracked either.
