  3. Draw with that seed and share the settings – anyone can repeat the draw and get the same winner.

Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers truly random?

They come from your browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source used for encryption keys. Values are drawn with rejection sampling, so every number in the range is exactly equally likely.

How do I generate numbers without repeats?

Tick “No repeats”. Each number then appears at most once – perfect for raffle tickets, seating or lottery-style draws. You can ask for as many unique numbers as the range allows.

What is the seed for?

Without a seed every draw is unpredictable. With a seed (any word or number), the same seed and settings always give the same result – so you can publish the seed before a giveaway and anyone can check the draw afterwards.

How do I pick a random winner from a list of names?

Open List, paste the names one per line (or separated by commas), set how many winners you need and press Pick. Each entry has an equal chance and nobody can win twice.

Can I split people into random teams?

Yes. In List, choose the number of teams or people per team and press Make teams. Everyone is shuffled first, then dealt into teams as evenly as possible.

Can it generate decimal numbers?

Yes. Choose 1 to 6 decimal places. Every value with that precision between the minimum and maximum is equally likely.

Is anything saved or sent anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser. The history list only lasts until you close or reload the page.
