Frequently asked questions

Where does the weather data come from?

From Open-Meteo, which combines forecasts from national weather services such as NOAA (US), DWD (Germany) and ECMWF. Forecasts update several times a day; the page shows the time of the latest reading.

What does “chance of rain” mean?

It’s the probability that at least 0.1 mm of rain falls in that hour or day at your location. 40% means rain is possible but more likely not; above 60% it’s likely. The amount shows how much is expected if it does rain.

What is “feels like” temperature?

The temperature your body senses, combining air temperature with humidity, wind and sunshine. Humid heat feels hotter; wind makes cold feel colder.

How accurate is a 14-day forecast?

The first 3 days are usually reliable, days 4–7 are good for trends, and days 8–14 show the general pattern only. Check again closer to the date for plans that depend on the weather.

What do the air quality numbers mean?

The US AQI runs from 0 to 500: 0–50 is good, 51–100 moderate, 101–150 unhealthy for sensitive groups, and above 150 unhealthy for everyone. PM2.5 and PM10 are fine particles from traffic, smoke and dust.

Is my location stored?

No. Your location is requested only when you press “Use my location”, and the coordinates go only to the weather service to get the forecast. Places are saved in this browser only if you press “Save place”.
