2026 has 261 weekdays in total. With a Sunday-only weekend there are 313 working days, and with Sundays plus the 2nd and 4th Saturdays there are 289.
Frequently asked questions
How many business days is “5–7 business days”?
Five to seven working days usually means one to one and a half weeks. Ordered on a Monday with no holidays, 5 business days is the following Monday and 7 is the Wednesday after. Use “Add working days” to see the exact date.
Are the start and end dates counted?
By default both are counted, the same as Excel’s NETWORKDAYS. Untick “Count start date” to count from the next day. When adding working days, the start day is never counted – 1 working day after Friday is Monday.
Which public holidays are included?
Holidays are calculated for any year by their rules: US federal holidays (moved to Friday or Monday when on a weekend), England & Wales bank holidays, Canadian federal and Australian national holidays with substitute days, and India’s national holidays plus Good Friday and Christmas. Add state, festival or company holidays in the box.
Why aren’t Diwali, Holi or Eid included for India?
They follow lunar calendars, so their dates change every year and vary between states and employers. Add the dates from your organisation’s holiday list – you can save them in this browser for next time.
What does “2nd and 4th Saturdays off” mean?
Banks and many government offices in India work on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays and close on the 2nd and 4th. Choose “Sunday + 2nd & 4th Saturday” to count working days that way.
How do I calculate working days in Excel?
Use =NETWORKDAYS(start, end, holidays) for a Saturday–Sunday weekend, or =NETWORKDAYS.INTL(start, end, 11, holidays) for a Sunday-only weekend. To add days, use =WORKDAY(start, days, holidays). The tool shows the matching formula.
